Controller and scope
The controller for the processing described here is the individual publishing this blog under the pseudonym Framework Geek. This is not a company called Framework Geek, and Hostinger is not the publisher. Contact the publisher at contact@frameworkgeek.com.
This notice describes this website, not the processing undertaken by all Hostinger customers. Framework Geek currently provides no reader account, comment account, newsletter sign-up or product ordering service.
When you contact the publisher
The website form is disabled and sends no messages. You can write directly to contact@frameworkgeek.com, which opens your email application.
Processed information includes the sender address, any supplied name, message content and delivery metadata. It is used to reply, process corrections and follow up on enquiries. The basis is the legitimate interest in communicating with readers and maintaining the publication, subject to their rights.
Do not send identity documents, passwords or payment details. A reply may be impossible without a reply address or a sufficiently clear message. Correspondence does not subscribe you to marketing.
Ordinary correspondence is retained while an enquiry is handled and for no more than 12 months after closure. Obvious unwanted messages are deleted when identified. If a dispute or legal duty requires it, only necessary records may be separately retained for the justified period. This policy is applied through manual review; no automatic purge is claimed.
Recipients and email service
Access is limited to the publisher and, where necessary, authorised parties handling the enquiry or operating the technical service. Received contact details are not sold.
The contact@frameworkgeek.com mailbox uses the email service provided through the Hostinger account. The publisher handles received messages; Hostinger and its technical providers participate according to the services used. No mailbox-specific data-centre location is asserted.
Browsing, security and logs
The server and delivery services may process IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs and browser information to deliver pages, diagnose incidents and prevent abuse, based on the legitimate interest in operating and protecting the site.
The publisher does not maintain an individual browsing history or a visitor-tracking database. Any log extract retained by the publisher to investigate an incident is kept for no more than 30 days after that incident closes, unless a documented need justifies longer retention. Infrastructure, antispam and security logs held by Hostinger follow its criteria: service delivery and security, abuse handling and applicable duties. The public documents reviewed do not specify one period for every log on this account, so no numerical provider retention period is asserted without confirmation.
The root entry point can direct visitors to the French or English edition using an explicit choice, a server-supplied country when available, then the browser’s language preference. This mechanism adds no external geolocation service, GPS permission or location cookie. The /fr/ and /en/ URLs remain directly accessible.
The form’s application-level abuse module is not active while sending is disabled. Hosting-provider protections are separate.
Analytics and local tools
No analytics service is enabled by the website. This version of the application adds no advertising pixel, reader-account identifier or affiliate tracker.
Internal search and the calculator run in your browser. A light/dark display preference can be saved locally. Infrastructure providers may separately process technical information needed for their services.
Providers and international transfers
Hostinger provides website delivery and email. Its data-processing addendum allows subprocessors and, depending on the service, processing outside the European Economic Area under GDPR transfer mechanisms, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. We do not claim that all processing remains in France or the European Union. Applicable safeguards can be requested from the publisher or consulted in Hostinger’s addendum. The private GitHub repository prepares and deploys website files; it does not receive contact messages or a copy of visitor logs in the current setup.

Your rights and requests
Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure or restriction, or object to certain processing. Portability applies where its conditions are met. Write to contact@frameworkgeek.com describing your request and the relevant data.
A response is normally provided within one month. A permitted extension based on complexity or request volume is notified within that first month. Proportionate identity verification may be requested when there is reasonable doubt; identity documents are not routinely required.
You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL or your competent supervisory authority.
Changes to this notice
Enabling a form, newsletter, analytics or commercial features requires reassessing processing and updating this notice before activation.
